October 19, 2018, Corporate Vice President of AI Business at Microsoft Steve Guggenheimer met with highly valued Microsoft Partners in Kyiv.
In the frame of the event, Chief Technology Officer of StealthMail Evgen Verzun took the opportunity to discuss digital security challenges of our time.
The first concern Evgen discussed with Steve was regarding the security of cloud data.
Guggenheimer encouraged everybody to pay close attention to confidential computing.
Microsoft Research explains confidential computing on their YouTube channel in this way:
“Confidential computing means cloud providers can’t see customers’ secrets even if cloud administrators are malicious or hackers have exploited kernel bugs in hosts.”
The second matter for discussion was directly linked to the features StealthMail already has in plans for the future.
Verzun introduced the scenario where AI image recognition would be used to help users comply with GDPR and prevent them from emailing image files that contain sensitive information such as photos of IDs, credit or debit cards, social security numbers, etc.
“I don’t know if anybody is working on it. It is an interesting scenario, and it sounds like it could be a phenomenal 3rd party tool. Sounds like a plug-in ISV should build. I like the idea actually.” Guggenheimer said.
Steven’s approval could not have served a greater encouragement for the StealthMail team, further confirming the importance of a GDPR complaint email security solution the team has been ceaselessly working on.
